The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, within the framework of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Istanbul, presented an exhibition stand devoted to the forthcoming IPU Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians (GCWP), to be held in Belgrade from 2 to 4 June 2026.

Through a carefully designed presentation, the delegation of the National Assembly conveyed, in a modern and engaging manner, the significance of the Conference, its principal themes and objectives, with particular emphasis on the empowerment of women in parliaments and their role in shaping more just and inclusive societies.

Visitors to the stand were afforded the opportunity to gain more detailed information on the programme, exchange experiences, and establish contacts with representatives of the Republic of Serbia.

This promotional activity generated considerable interest among participants from various parts of the world, reinforcing the role of Belgrade as an important gathering point for women parliamentarians and as a platform for dialogue on key global challenges.

In this way, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has further increased the visibility of the Conference and called upon women parliamentarians worldwide to take part in this significant international initiative.
